Just a few highlights from the Blue Horseshoe team on the ground at Convergence 2012…

  • Weren’t able to attend? View the general session key-note speeches on-demand. View Now>
  • There is a new upgrade model for AX 2012, which provides the ability to reduce cut-over time by moving a large amount of data while users are still transacting in the current system.
  • Significant database normalization in AX 2012 expands the number of tables in AX from around 3000 to over 4300. This will pose some challenges in migrating reports while providing an excellent opportunity to take advantage of SQL Reporting Services and enhanced Business Intelligence capabilities of SQL 2012.
  • A key term discussed throughout the event…AOS.NET. An enhanced architecture that not only runs workflow processes in the application server, but also allows X++ developers to turn their code into web services by setting a single attribute.
  • RapidStart services will be available in the cloud, as an intelligent questionnaire experience.
  • Transportation planning has become an even more important topic. With continued increases in fuel prices, transportation contributes even more to the overall cost of servicing customers.
  • Efficient Transportation Spend Management within the global enterprise is a continued hot topic. Blue Horseshoe’s Transportation for AX (TRAX) solution answers this capability and empowers the user to take control of transportation at their fingertips and use within a single system.
